Fire Sale

Meher School Community

Our first grade raised $1,754 at their bake sale Friday for first responders and victims of the LA fires—and they had lots of help. They donated the proceeds to World Central Kitchen, which provides freshly made meals to communities impacted by disasters. A delicious assortment of baked goods—brownies, cookies, cakes and cupcakes, persimmon pudding and zucchini bread, and more—was generously provided by families and current and former staff members.

Teachers and parents (and one eager fifth grader who loves to bake) sold the treats before and after school. Though the tables were piled high at the beginning of the sale, there was very little left at the end (which they donated to the staff).

If you didn’t make it to the sale, you can still donate directly to World Central Kitchen through this link.
