OUR CAMPUS & CLASSROOMS
Children learn best in attractive, clean, uncluttered, and well cared for surroundings . Our classrooms are bright, airy, and clean. Gardens bloom on each of our school’s three tiers. Classrooms are arranged to encourage children to work together, and to cooperate with and be kind to others.
GARDENS & NATURE
THE OUTDOORS
Children at all grade levels have ample opportunities to enjoy and explore the outdoors. From gardening classes, to recess, to nature walks, time outside enriches student life and learning. In preschool and kindergarten, walks through all our campus terrains enhance curiosity about nature and a love of the outdoors.
SEVEN CIRCLES GARDEN
Our three-quarter acre organic garden gets its name from its seven planting circles. Preschool children visit the garden on walks. Elementary students take gardening classes here once per week, helping compost, prepare soil, harvest, and more. Vegetables from the garden are used in aftercare snack.
CHILDREN'S GARDENS
A carefully tended garden blooms between each tier of classrooms. Below the first tier, a path winds past rose bushes through a “butterfly garden” to a gazebo where children can gather for snacks. Below the path lies a manzanita “forest.” Small groups of children enjoy working in the preschool garden.
